• Adam is not Glynn Academy’s only famous sports alumnus. Davis Love III and Kwame Brown also attended the school.
• In 2003, Adam was named the Greeneville Braves Pitcher of the Year.
• In his first start for Memphis in 2004, Adam left the game after six innings with a no-hitter.
• When Adam was told he would not be the Cardinals' fifth starter in 2006, he told Dave Duncan that he would be the bat boy as long as he could stay in the major leagues.
• Adam hit the first major-league pitch he saw out of the park. Only six players had done this before him. The Cardinals gave him an engraved Rolex watch to commemorate the occasion.
• Adam’s brother, Trey, practices sports and entertainment law in Atlanta. He handles the affairs of Bobby Bragan’s family, which owns the minor-league Jacksonville Suns.
• Adam and Jenny had their first child, Baylie, on September 10, 2006.
