- Andrew was the MVP of the 2008 Triple-A All-Star Game.
- Andrew tied a team record for rookies when he tripled in three straight games. The last Pirate rookie to do that was Bob Elliott, in 1940.
- Andrew hit his first big-league homer off Francisco Liriano of the Minnesota Twin in 2009.
- Andrew was the first Pittsburgh rookie to blast three home runs in a game.
- In 2009, Andrew finished fourth in the Rookie of the Year voting behind Chris Coghlan, JA Happ and Tommy Hanson. Baseball America picked Andrew as its Rookie of the Year.
- In 2009, Andrew had three double-digit hitting streaks. The last Pittsburgh rookie to do that was Richie Zisk, in 1973.
- Andrew was ninth in the NL in triples in 2009 and 10th in stolen bases in 2010.
- Andrew owned the highest range factor among NL centerfielders in 2011.
- In 2011, Andrew became the eighht Pirate to join the 20/20 Club (homers and steals).
