“It means a lot to be from the same place as all those Heisman winners. That is something that really drives me. But I'm still curious to see if I can uphold the tradition.”

“My life is parallel to a horse race. They have blinders on to keep them from being distracted in the race and keep them focused on winning the race. That's kind of like my life. Focus on the goal, not the things coming at me from the side.”

“Taking care of my parents is one of the things that I want to do, just give them some of the things that we never had a chance to have. It's all about remembering where I came fromt.”

“I don't really look at other people's moves because, when I'm on the field, I'm not going to remember them. It's just something that has a lot to do with instinct and vision and all those running back aspects you have. You put them all into a basket, and you just use them on the field and go out there and make plays.”

“I try to focus on practice. This is work time. This is where we work, this is our office. I try not to let it distract me too much.”

“It's fun. There are a lot of good guys on this team. We've been having fun, especially in the running back group. That's one of the first things with being successful and winning games is having fun. It's a lot different when you are winning. You can have fun, joke around and do all those crazy things that we did at USC.”

"Pressure to me now has become almost part of my life. It doesn't really affect me anymore. People talk about me being under pressure or having pressure of having to come in and be this great player that everyone expects me to be right away. It doesn't really faze me. It's become second nature now. It's almost like it would be weird not to have it."

"This is my calling, this is why I was put on this earth—to make a difference in people's lives."

“We're not just playing for a championship, we're playing for the city of New Orleans, the fans, the people. The whole city itself is looking at us to lead the city and bring some happiness back.”

“The more money you get, the bigger target you become. That's true. It's sad but it's true that you have to be aware of every person that comes to you with the next greatest deal. You just have to look at every single person with a fine lens. That's the way my life is going to be from here on out.”

"I feel like I am getting better and adjusting to the offense more. I would say I am calmer. That just comes with time and experience. I just thought it was a matter of time before I got running back to how I know how to."

"First and foremost, I'm a running back. That's how I perceive myself."

"Being in this position that I'm in, I have a million things going through my head. The constant question to myself is whether I'm doing the right things, am I built for this game?"
