In 2003, Chris was rated among the top 100 players in the state of Florida by Super-Prep Magazine.
In high school, the only sprints Chris lost were to future Olympic champion Walter Dix and future NCAA 100-meters champ Xavier Carter.
Chris’s football jersey was the first ever retired by Olympia High School.
Chris was a member of the varsity basketball team at Olympia.
Chris suffered from turf toe while in college. Coach Skip Holtz kept him on the field by using him as a slot receiver.
Chris graduated from East Carolina as the school’s third all-time leading rusher, with 2,982 yards.
Chris broke ECU’s career reception record for running backs in just two seasons.
Chris was the first player in ECU history to rack up 5,000 all-purpose yards.
In 2008, Chris became the first Titan since Jevon Kearse to be named NFL Rookie of the Month.
Chris finished 3rd in the AFC and 8th in the NFL in rushing yards as a rookie in 2008.

Chris and LenDale White were nicknamed "Smash & Dash" by the Tennessee fans in 2008. The combined for 2,001 rushing yards and 24 rushing touchdowns.
Chris finished second to Matt Ryan in the 2008 NFL Rookie of the Year voting.
Chris’s 228-yard game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2009 broke the team record held jointly by Billy Cannon and George. Chris also set a team record with a 91-yard touchdown run and gained 284 yards from scrimmage against the Houston Texans.
Against the Buffalo Bills in 2009, Chris became the second player in team history to gain 100 yards rushing and receiving in the same game. Billy Cannon was the first, in 1961.
Chris was selected for the 2009 Pro Bowl behind starter Thomas Jones of the New York Jets.
Chris earned a degree in Communications at ECU.
Chris’s time in the 40-yard dash was the fastest ever for a running back at an NFL combine. Deion Sanders admits that Chris is probably faster on a football field than he was in his prime.
When Chris decided he needed a special touchdown celebration, he Twittered Titan fans for suggestions.
After scoring a touchdown in Kansas City in 2008, Chris celebrated by banging on drums that belonged to the Chiefs' halftime band. He was fined $10,000 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Chris was chosen as the cover boy for Madden Football 2010.
One of Chris’s biggest fans in country singer Faith Hill. They ate lunch together once and were frontpage news.
Chris’s favorite actor is Denzel Washington. His favorite rapper is Lil Wayne. His pride and joy is a refurbished 1973 Chevy Caprice. He also drives a pink BMW.
