- In 1997, the USC players were furnished with the muscle-building dietary supplement Creatine. He tried it but quickly backed off when he learned there was no information on its long-term effects.
- Morgan finished his college career ranked third all-time on USC’s home run list behind Geoff Jenkins and Mark McGwire.
- Morgan won championships as a college player and as a pro in 1998. His minor league teams also won titles in 1999 and 2000.
