players were furnished with the muscle-building dietary supplement Creatine.
He tried it but quickly backed off when he learned there was no information
on its long-term effects.
- Morgan finished
his college career ranked third all-time on USC’s home run list
behind Geoff Jenkins and Mark McGwire.
- Morgan won championships
as a college player and as a pro in 1998. His minor league teams also
won titles in 1999 and 2000.

Mike Gillespie helped develop at USC were Barry Zito, Mark Prior, Jason
Lane, Jeff Cirillo, Eric Munson, Geoff Jenkins, Jacque Jones and Bret
and Aaron Boone. Unlike Morgan, they all received scholarships.
