- Torii homered in four consecutive games in August of 2006.
- Torii slugged three grand slams in 2007 to tie for the AL lead. He hit nine grand slams with the Twins—second only to Harmon Killebrew’s 10.
- Torii passed Zoilo Versalles and Roy Smalley on the Twins' all-time hit list on Opening Day 2007. He also passed Cesar Tovar and Chuck Knoblauch that season and left the Twins at #7.

music, but rarely goes to concerts. The last one he remembers attending
was Run D.M.C., when he was eight. He lists Tupac and Bonecrusher as
his favorite rappers.
