- As a kid, if Vijay
needed money, he would caddie at his local course. Patrons would pay
him $1 for a round. He later earned extra cash doing carpentry work.

a variety of charitable causes. In 1999 he served as the Honorary Chairperson
for National Golf Day, the annual junior golf fundraiser sponsored by
the PGA of America. With Ardena and Qass, he has also established the
Vijay Singh Charitable Foundation, which benefits organizations devoted
to women and children who are the victims of domestic abuse.
