Michael Vick is playing out of his mind right now, and that’s a beautiful thing. You've got a guy who was a superstar in this league, playing like a superstar again—maybe one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now. He's in the playbook. He's making the kind of decisions out there where I know he's doing his homework and studying and learning this offense. He's playing great. He does run, but he's still the quarterback and you can't treat him like he's a running back there. That's not what the rules state. He understands that he made a huge mistake and the only way that you can right that wrong is by giving it back now and changing and helping others not make the same mistakes. That’s where he’s at mentally and he’s very humble about it. He’s seen the highs and he’s seen the lows, so he’s very humble about this whole thing. Hes Donovan
McNabb PLUS. Its
like God put all these great elements together and gave them to Mike. There has been
no quarterback like him in the league before. Hes very
cool, laid-back, very humble. Thats what I like about him. He has the whole
package wrapped up in one body, and it can be very scary if youre
on the outside looking in. This man is
one of the most unselfish teammates you'll ever see, because he truly
doesn't care about his numbers. As long as I've known him, every time
someone says he can't do something or sets up barriers, he leaps over
them. He is unreal,
maybe the fastest guy Ive ever seen in a football stadium. If youre
not disciplined, this guy can do a lot of damage. Hes not
an ego guy. Sometimes your best player, if you took a poll of the team
not many of them want to hang out with him, but everybody wants to hang
out with Michael Vick. Now, it's time
for him to continue working to get his life back in order. I've got every
hope and belief that's what is going to take place, and that we will have
a successful end to this story. I'm just hoping
that Michael can take that penalty and move forward and come back, recapture
his career and his direction. And it can send a message to young people
again, that I've made mistakes and will pay my penalty. We all grew up with Michael Vick on Madden. We're all about 25 or 26, so we would win at Madden with Vick. A person should not pay for his sins forever ... This is what Eagles head Coach Andy Reid saw when he gave Vick a second chance.
